Howard Bentley Gives Back

CAJA Thanks Howard Bentley Buick GMC for “Give Back for Black Friday”

Every year, Howard Bentley does a “test drive” event to benefit CAJA of Marshall County.  However, this year, the Spring “test drive” event didn’t happen due to Covid.  Since Howard Bentley does a “Black Friday All Month Long” event each November, they decided to do “Give Back for Black Friday” this year to benefit CAJA.  On December 3rd, Taylor Conner presented CAJA with a check for $7,200 from their “Give Back” effort!

Pam Just, Executive Director of CAJA, is so proud to have Howard Bentley Buick GMC in our community to help support CAJA and other local non-profits.  In addition to the “Give Back for Black Friday” contribution, they also support CAJA by giving Taylor Bentley Conner the time and support to be CAJA’s Board President.  “Their contribution is just invaluable and we cannot express our gratitude enough”, said Mrs. Just.  “Howard Bentley Buick GMC truly supports the community where they live and operate.”

The Court Appointed Juvenile Advocates (CAJA) of Marshall County is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to advocate for Marshall County’s most severely abused, abandoned and neglected children, giving them a voice in an overburdened child welfare system that is hard pressed to meet their individual needs.  CAJA volunteers are appointed by the court to conduct independent investigations, report their findings and serve as a “child’s voice in court”.  Children with CAJA volunteers find safe, permanent homes more quickly, are half as likely to re-enter foster care and do better in school.  CAJA is supported by the United Way of Marshall County, court fees, a VOCA grant through AL CASA Network, and by direct contributions from individuals, corporations and agencies interested in CAJA’s mission.  You can help make a difference in the lives of these children by becoming a CAJA volunteer or donating.  You can speak up for these children and help them have what every child deserves: a safe and happy childhood.  Find out how you can help at www.cajaofmarshall.org, contact Pam Just, Executive Director at cajaofmarshall@gmail.com, or call at 256-878-1445.
